The secretskeepyousick.net website ("SKYS," "we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you register an account or when you otherwise access our website as a guest ("Services"), such as when you:

Our website is a self-funded personal, domestic, household community where friends can offer their peer support in discussing issues important to those who have eating disorders. Among these issues is the free discussion where disordered thoughts are against company terms of service allowing dangerously and managed poorly sub-culture frequently targeted by predators. This censorship inherently contributes to the isolation, victim-blaming and subjection to abuse online.

By using our site you understand that we are not a business, referral service, online service provider, medical provider, mental health provider, legal adviser or professional provider of services or goods of any sort. We do not engage in direct marketing, for-profit business activities, and do not sell banner ads or personal data, nor does our website bring in money from any source, including donations. Our site is entirely funded by one member, Clippy. Your use of our site is contingent on you providing your consent to our handling of your personal information.

References to "personal information" in this privacy notice refers to specific types of information (usually referred to as Personally Identifiable Information or "PII") that you choose to disclose when you register for a user account by filling in registration form fields, information otherwise associated internally after your register a user account, or information used or generated when you view the site using your registered user account or when you use guest access to visit our website such as your IP addresses and your device information.

This site operates only intermittently and merely in a personal, household, or domestic capacity on an ad hoc basis. Your use and ability to access this site in any capacity is at the staffs discretion.

Geo-blocking may be used at any time to limit the countries or states where you can access our site or where you can register an account where such limitations are allowed by law, or where such blocking is required by law. This site does not operate continuously and access may be turned off or geographically limited for indefinite periods of time. For example, where threats of harm or legal threats to the site lead us to remove your access to the site, we may do so at any time in any fashion and for any duration without notice. In such cases where access has been disabled your use of VPN to bypass such limitations or the use of fraudulent account information related to location, age, or involving impersonation or a ruse may result in your account deletion and removal of any personal information associated with your user account or previous access to our site. SKYS does not allow members to access the site using a VPN at any point.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.

Similarly, the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CCPA) covers only for-profit businesses that do business in California and is limited to such businesses with over US$25 million in revenue or buy/sell/share the personal information of 100,000 or more California residents, households, or devices. Our site is compliant with the CCPA under the exceptions provided within the CCPA.

The California Age-Appropriate Design Code Act becomes effective July 1, 2024 and applies to you if you are a minor in California under 18 years of age and provides you the right to request removal of unwanted data that you have publicly posted on certain types of sites. The CA-ADC provides the same exceptions/thresholds as the CCPA and also only applies to for-profit business entities that meet the revenue or number of users/devices of the CCPA. As a non-commercial website our site is compliant with the CA-ADC once it takes effect under the exceptions provided within the CA-ADC.,
